30 days ~ {day 1}

I saw this idea over on Elle’s blog, and I wanted to give it a try. I will be pretty bummed out if I forget about it and abandon the challenge, but hey…what’s the point of life if you don’t try the things you’re interested in doing? Right? So here I go!

15 interesting facts about me:

  1. I can’t walk for 20 minutes after I wake up in the morning, and I have to wear shoes or slippers to walk around in the morning. I can’t walk barefoot until I’ve been up for a couple of hours…and I have no idea why.
  2. I love decorating for the holidays. Even though I deny it, I totally love it. My favourite holidays to decorate for are Halloween and Christmas!
  3. My left toes are crocked and look broken. They get stared at a lot when I wear flip flops in public.
  4. I wear my heart on my sleeve and I am a very trusting person. That being said, as soon as you break my trust it takes A LOT to earn it back.
  5. I have no patience for idiots. Unless I’m at work, there I can paste a smile on my face and pretend that idiots are awesome {then rant about it when I get home}.
  6. I talk a lot.
  7. I love writing, only I am incapable of finishing a project I start. Probably because I always feel that it doesn’t live up to it’s greatness. My writing projects often go left unfinished or worse, deleted from my computer. I need to over come this if I ever want to be a successful, best selling author…
  8. I’m pretty lazy thanks to my chronic pain disorder, but I hate being lazy and I’ll often push myself to my breaking point…which isn’t always pretty.
  9. I am married to a Gemini. We argue/fight a lot, but our fights are never ‘serious’ {as in, we always forgive and move on}.
  10. I wasn’t entirely impressed with my wedding day. There are parts of it that I loved and wouldn’t trade for all the money in the world {like getting to marry the man of my dreams, and having an amazing wedding photographer, and my dress and hair etc}, but there were parts that upset me and frustrated me and kinda put a damper on things {which maybe I’ll one day write about…but doubtful}. But; the important thing is that I married the love of my life.
  11. I have a hard time putting pen to paper {in the literal sense} because I am a perfectionist and I hate the way my writing looks. It’s never neat or pretty enough for me.
  12. I love to cook, and try new recipes. I am afraid of cooking roasts by myself though…there’s something intimating about cooking a roast. BUT, I’m going to try it when my dad comes down, because I want to show off all that I’ve learned πŸ˜€ …which brings me to my next fact…
  13. When I moved out at 19, I didn’t know how to heat up kraft dinner, let alone cook a meal for my family…now I can cook a hell of a lot of things, and I love experimenting with spices. I now give my sisters tips!
  14. I’ve never been very independant, and I’m working on that now because being too dependant on others isn’t a good thing. I’ve come a long way. Old me would have never gone to the park with Nolan by myself or gone grocery shopping by myself. Old me barely drove anywhere alone by myself. Old me was a douche canoe, I know.
  15. I am guilty of watching lame Lifetime movies when Nolan is napping…and actually enjoying them. πŸ˜‰

  3. so, i am going to give this a try as well. looks fun, and since sometimes i have nothing to blog about, this will be awesome. πŸ™‚

you have no patience for idiots? lol, who would have guess. πŸ˜›

  4. Damn. You are like the third person I’ve seen doing this. Guess I’m gonna do it too…. Maybe then I’ll blog!

  5. Ooh, I wanna do this! I’ve seen a similar thing going around other blogs, but I like this one a lot. I wasn’t really interested in doing the other one myself, even though I like reading the posts that come out of it.

I’m totally not independent, either. So you’re not a douche canoe. (Which is, by the way, THE funniest variant of the word “douche” I have ever heard. I’m so using that, as long as I can keep a straight face when saying it out loud. Douche canoe. HA!) I’ve only recently become more independent. We’ve had this conversation before though, I think, back when I wrote about doing things for myself regarding school and doctor appointments. Gaining independence is something that comes with age, for most people, I think. There’s a lot of people who are born independent, though, and I was so not one of those people.

Also? I watch lame ass Lifetime movies, too. It’s only when I’m alone, though, so no one can catch me enjoying them. It’s kind of my guilty pleasure. πŸ˜€

    NaNoWriMo is getting closer…!

Hey, maybe you have what I have with my own feet (in both of them, which stinks). I have plantar fasciitis in both feet and have had it for four years now, going through PT and other therapies for it — with no respite. (It’s a problem for me, because it limits my range of motion in my ankles, which makes it difficult to go up/downhill and up/down stairs when your ankles don’t bend. 😦 ) I’m thinking I’m just going to have to live with it the rest of my life.
